EMERGENCY! was a television show that ran from 1972-1978 Saturday nights at 8 p.m. on NBC. It followed a pair of Firefighter/Paramedics from the Los Angeles County Fire Department, John Gage. More importantly to me, it was the cause of my becoming a firefighter.

I remember watching the show with my little fire helmet on, playing with my Hot Wheels squad and engine 51. Watching the fire fighters on TV. performing minor miracles and feats of wonderment.
